Garmin GPS Award Winner

Congratulations to Anna Barnett from the Escarpment Biosphere Conservancy, winner of the Garmin Geko 201 handheld GPS unit. As the winner of OTC's first Garmin contest, we are pleased that a member of the trails community took the time to accurately provide us with information for trailhead GPS information and thereby qualify to win.

The OTC is engaged in a detailed data gathering process with the MNR to track and process trailhead GPS coordinates. As we profiled in our April news, the fact that members of the trails community do not come equipped with GPS units is a challenge to the gathering of accurate and reliable data.
