Working Together For Youth Education

The Ontario Trails Council has recently partnered with the Independent Learning Centre (ILC) and TVOntario to provide comprehensive information about the province’s trails for continuing education.

As a provider of trail-based programs and services to youth, and as the key provincial educator on the benefits of trails, the OTC will work with the ILC to provide engaging curriculum material for continuing education.

ABOUT THE ILC

The Independent Learning Centre (ILC) provides a distance education program, in English and in French, for Ontario residents who want to earn secondary school diploma credits, upgrade basic skills, or study for personal development. ILC also offers an elementary program for
children temporarily living outside Canada.

Run by TV Ontario and funded by the Ministry of Education, the Independent Learning Centre is a recognized leader in distance education. The ILC creates and delivers an accessible, dynamic, and varied suite of English and French resources to the learners of Ontario.

The ILC is pleased to work with many diverse organizations such as the OTC that help in the delivery of our flexible educational programs and services to youth and adults.
