200 years of peace between neighbours has brought prosperity and continuous growth, attracting people from around the world to
live their dreams in one of the world’s greatest mega regions.
It’s free to register and take part in this program to launch an online Social Network reaching out to local, regional and international audiences.
The Trails of 1812 Social Network will bring together private sector partners, NGOs and governments to include and promote all other 1812 events and Web sites – Trails of 1812 does not seek to replace other efforts, rather it will amplify their effect.
TRAILS CONNECT US ACROSS TIME PLACE AND EXPERIENCE
Since 1812, some trails have remained so while others have become roads. Many trails are aboriginal routes from before borders were in place. Trails cross borders and continue on both sides – they join us.
TRAILS INVITE ACTION
Walk, run, ride down the trail with old friends and new. Trails are neutral and all-encompassing.
REACHING THE HEARTS & MINDS OF TODAY’S EXPEREIENCE SEEKERS
Research shows a correlation of interests is
what compels people to act. Today, we are far more defined by a personal mix of passions and pursuits than by other measures such as age, sex, race and religion.
SOCIAL NETWORKS: DON’T TRY TO HERD CATS, FEED & NURTURE THEM
Get Smart, Get Active, Get Going, Get Together; TRAILS OF 1812 will empower individuals and organizations to share and promote their passions and pursuits. It will be both amplifier and generator for otherwise disparate sites and events, providing greater benefits, interactivity and connectivity for all.
LAUNCH THE SPECTACULAR –
Be a catalyst for celebration and commemoration. Branding, marketing
and public relations campaigns will provide
“Expo / Olympic / Millennium” scale lift to disparate efforts.
Seeded events and spectacular activities,
i.e., Fort-to-Fort run, Great Lakes swim,
“New World Now” Art Brigades, Geocaching Challenge, etc. will draw media and instigate deal making.
The Trails of 1812 Social Media and Marketing network provides a standard for the small, a foundation for the large and builds capacity
