Alice Walking Trail

On this trail, the footing is good on the country roads, but hiking boots make walking easier on the abandoned Canadian National railway line.

The walker descends into Alice, a compact and pretty village situated on the Indian River. The northern part of the walk is through rolling countryside, while the southern half is mainly through secondary-growth bush.

Alice Township, first surveyed in 1855, is likely named in honour of Queen Victoria’s second daughter.
