Gravenhurst Historic Mural Routes
Participants of this tour visit 14 murals placed throughout the town, and tell the story of Gravenhurst from its beginnings as a logging industry town to the tourism town it is today. Each mural depicts a different time and industry in Gravenhurst's past. Tour brochures can be picked up at the Chamber of Commerce building.
Celebrate Gravenhurst's rich culture and history through this walking tour of historical murals. The murals represent the advancement of the community including the lumber trade, rail and steamship travel as well as a unique ice industry. The stories told through these murals have molded Gravenhurst into the community it is today.
