Opinicon Loop - Rideau Trail

The Opinicon Loop starts at the junction of Opinicon and Maple Leaf Roads, about 3 km northeast of Perth Road Village. For the first 7 km the loop trail follows the Opinicon Road, but the remaining 18 km is through forest and rolling, lightly-wooded meadows, over ganitic and metamorphic roscks of the Precambrian Shield.

It affords a pleasant alternate route to the main Trail. There is a Guidebook of Maps and Trail description which is available to both members and non-members by mail from the RTA, some bookstores and outdoor stores.
