Ottawa/Temiskaming Highland Trail

Access to this trail is possible via six roads and ten canoe points. Head south from Friday and Gorrie Lake to the Fourbass Lake Lookouts and follow the Matabitchuan River to Beaver Mountain.

This is a rugged wilderness trail with several side trails being added over time. Hikers will appreciate this trail for its many enchantingly beautiful forests. Pine covered hilltops with many gorgeous lookouts and shady deep wood settings make this trail a memorable hiking experience.

This trail is ranked with the best hiking trails in North America.
