St. Williams Crown Forest
Ontario has numerous trails throughout the province that are designated for off-road bikes. The longer trails in the northern areas of the province go on for hundreds of kilometres through spectacularly rugged landscape.
The St. Williams Crown Forest is one area of Ontario where motorcyclists are currently allowed to ride, recent changes in species management have resulted in fewer trails and more riders on fewer trails. There are signs posted and if you trespass or encroach you will be ticketed. Good adherence to sound principles of trail etiquette, will make a safe ride - see our Trail Smart section for tips.
Ontario also has many bike clubs and associations, such as the Ontario Federation of Trail Riders, that organize rides and events and maintain trails. They can give you the best, most current information on trail availability and conditions. It's important to recognize that not all trails are available to bikes and to obey posted signs.
The St. Williams Crown Forest Trail is one of a series of managed trails around Ontario, posted by the OFTR to this site. Characteristics include: loose sand surface, trails range from narrow to wide with too many woops.
