The main attraction along the Eramosa River trail is - not surprisingly - the river.
In the late winter ducks are often seen swimming in open waters and waddling up onto the remaining ice sheets. The numerous sumac and willow trees can be admired from various benches along the way, and the Royal Recreation Trail can be connected with towards the far end of the trail, permitting an extended walk if desired.
This trail section begins at York Road park and follows the North side of Eramosa River, through Eramosa River Park. The trail crosses Victoria Road and continues on a natural path following the south side of the Eramosa River and ending at Stone Road.
The area from Lawrence Avenue to York Road and Gordon Street is wheelchair accessible.
