History Trail

Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park

Both the History Trail and the Nature trails run together for most of the distance.

At one point, the History trail breaks away and heads into a mixed forest, rock climbs etc., while The Nature Trail breaks to the left and follows the Mattawa River.

Both of these trails are difficult; considere the length and the type of geography you will be traveling.

Plan to spend the day hiking; Water and food are a must.
