Log Chute Trail

Enter the Log Chute Trail and take a walk back in time. A short 500m stroll down the trail leads you to the Kennisis River where a historical log chute awaits. The chute still has remnants for the orginal log chute, the remains of an age of logging which pioneered the local communities.

The one-of-a-kind Log chute has recently seen a complete restoration and now features an excellent interpretive pavillion and park. It's a wonderful place to relax with a picnic lunch and take in the sitghts, sounds and sounds and stories of the Kennisis River.

Directions: At Halls Lake, take Little Hawk Lake Rd (County Rd 13) and proceed to Big Hawk Lake Rd (approx. 5 km). Turn left onto Big Hawk Lake Rd and continue to the Historic Log Chute – parking is available alongside the road or at a small parking lot adjacent the Log Chute Park.
