Get your walking boots on and join us for a day-long exploration in the art of foraging food and herbal remedies from the wild. You'll have a chance to deepen your relationship with wild plants, learning which ones are safe and useful, and why -- by observing, touching, smelling and tasting. The ethics of foraging responsibly and sustainably will be also highlighted. Bring a bag lunch and drinking water; gardening gloves (optional); small paper bags, notebook with pen/pencil and cellophane tape for leaf samples. You may wish to bring a thermos of hot water to make an on-the-trail herbal tea. It's wise to use a backpack so your hands are free. Dress for the weather - good solid boots or walking shoes. Excursion is 6 hours of plant exploration and hands-on learning. Once signed up, please be sure you are committed to join us, be it RAIN or SHINE!
