Our organization is non-profit and volunteer-run. We are based in the Hamilton/Burlington area of Southern Ontario, Canada. Each year we organize dozens of canoe and outing trips in Ontario, ranging from single-day river runs, to weekend excursions, to week-long wilderness adventures. Every trip is unique and is organized by and experienced club member.
Our trips range from afternoon river runs, to weekend camping trips, to excursions or one week or longer. Skill requirements range from novice to expert and activity levels from leisurely to strenuous. On some overnight trips the meals are arranged by the trip organizer. On others, participants bring their own food. If you have questions or concerns the trip organizer is always there to help. From beginner to expert, everyone is welcome!
Participation in club activities requires that you become a member. As a member you may participate in any club outing. Trips are free of charge - you pay only for your food, transportation, park fees and any equipment you rent. You'll also receive out club newsletter four times a year: It's packed with planned events, trip reports and articles of interest to any outdoor enthusiast. In the spring and fall we hold our membership meetings. And as a club member you receive a ten-percent discount on purchases of regularly priced merchandise at participating local outdoor stores!
