Details: Celebrate Trails Day, all month long! Join the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury and Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority at Scanlon Creek Conservation Area for the entire month in celebration of National Trails Day and June is Recreation and Parks Month!

Self-Guided Hike Using GooseChase
​Following the map, complete missions by stopping at locations​ along the way for a guided hike experience! Additionally, complete other missions by submitting photo and video evidence to gain extra points. Participants who accumulate a minimum of 2500 points by completing missions will be entered into a draw to win one of five $50 gift cards from a local BWG restaurant of their choosing. The contest is open to BWG residents only. ​

Self-Guided Hike Instructions:​

  1. ​Download the app GooseChase on your phone. For more information on the app and how it work​​s click here. ​

  2. If you would like to be entered in a draw to win prizes, create a free account. Winners will be notified through the app via direct message. 

  3. Join the Trails Month Self-Guided Hike game by searching the name or entering the game code 4XZKXQ.

  4.  Complete missions 1-8 by finding the correct location on the trail and then checking in y​​our GPS location. Read up on interesting facts for each location provided by Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority.  

  5. Complete the additional photo and video missions for added points! 

  6. Get hiking and have fun!

Park Rules/Safety Information:

  1. Maintain physical distance (2m/6ft) from your group and others.

  2. Please stay on the marked trails.

  3. Please take all garbage/recycling home with you.

  4. Dogs must be on a leash at all times. 

  5. Please stoop and scoop and pick up after your pet. 

  6. ​Dress appropriately and wear proper footwear.

  7. Be prepared for the weather.

  8. Bring food and water. 

  9. Make a tick check before you get in the car, don't forget to check pets too!
