CAN-BIKE is a program which offers cycling courses for both young cyclists and adults. Skills learned range from the basics for those who cannot ride a bike, to more advanced courses for seasoned cyclists. All instructors are fully accredited in CAN-BIKE, are knowledgeable about the Highway Traffic Act and have advanced cycling skills. In fact, all Toronto Police bicycle patrol officers are required to take CAN-BIKE 2.

Students will learn, how traffic works, good decision making, lane positioning, nutrition basics, proper cycling equipment, handling skills, collision avoidance techniques, riding on residential streets and minor arterial roads.

Can-bike and Learn to Ride classes are operated by Parks, Forestry & Recreation, and can be found in the Sports Section of the Toronto Fun Guide or visit the website. As well, we also offer Can-bike summer camps for Children. The Can-bike Camps can be found in the Specialty Camps section of the Toronto Fun Guide and also at the City of Toronto's website.

For courses (including becoming an instructor), fees, schedules, see the City's website or refer to the Toronto FUN Guide for your district.
