Plan your ride so it ends in Blyth, ON and join in the fun at the Rutabaga Festival!
Register as an individual rider, add yourself to a team or sponsor a rider below. Start your ride from anywhere along the trail by entering the trail near any of the community parking areas, most are near our Kiosks listed on our Google Map (www.g2grailtrail.com). For more experienced riders we recommend beginning your ride in Linwood (60 km from Blyth) where there are many parking spots. For families or recreational riders, consider starting in Walton, Monkton or at the Blyth Brook bridge – it is completely up to you. As long as you register and end up in Blyth between 10 am and 3 pm.
Seasoned Gravel Bike Riders who wish to start in Guelph, ON have the option to join in with the Toronto Hustle and Cowbell Gravel Run (you can find the link on www.g2grailtrail.com).
Once you arrive in Blyth, there are three locations you need to know about: the G2G Rail Trail entry points, the Blyth Community Centre (where the Rutabaga Festival is located), and Cowbell Brewing Co.
Volunteers from G2G Rail Trail will be located at all access points to the trail in Blyth and at the main tent in the middle of the Rutabaga Festival.
Each rider must check-in, at which point you will receive a gift package including a t-shirt, lunch voucher, Cowbell beverage, and G2G Crest.
Lunch will be served at Cowbell Brewing Co. from 1 pm to 3 pm in the Thresher's Hall.
The G2G Rail Trail is suitable for a variety of bikes, depending on your cycling experience. The surface is mainly dirt path around Blyth and in some sections crushed stone dust. The trail is maintained by volunteers and conditions can vary in areas. Your support will go towards the funding required to make the full 127 KM of trail surface – 2 meters wide stone dust, as it is in the Goderich to Auburn and Linwood to Guelph sections.
