The Logger's Loop trail system is located in Madawaska Township, is 106 kms in length and is the perfect place for wide open scenery, river side riding, bush trails, abandoned rail lines and beautiful scenic lookouts.

Two options are available to you as follows:

• self-guided: where you and your own group of friends go and explore that trail system in addition to the signed route (route will be provided on the QuadOn app), or
• guided: where you are part of group being led by a “Lead” member of the club familiar with the area.

 

Details about the Event:

• Trailhead - South Algonquin Public Library, 26 A Major Lake Road, Madawaska ON K0J2C0 (Intersection of B Trail and Trail # 175) 20 minutes north of Barry's Bay Highway 60 West;
• The South Algonquin Lookout is a Must See;
• Bring your swim suits for an opportunity to stop and cool off in the Madawaska River;
• Refueling available in Whitney; and
• Lunch - bring your own or buy your own at Porterville Diner (2367 Hwy 127, Lake St. Peter, Ontario), The Algonquin Lunch Bar or The Mad Musher (both located on route 60, Whitney, Ontario K0J 2M0)

Registration:

• Registration ($15 per Machine) using Eventbrite. If you have not registered online, you will not be able to join the ride.
• Check-in will begin at 8:30 am, participants will be required to show a valid OFATV trail pass (either annual, 3-day or 1-day pass) to the organizers on site.
• To obtain an OFATV trail pass, go to: https://getapermit.ofatv.org and select RCATV (annual, 3-day or $25 day pass) (e-copy is acceptable);
• Safety brief begins at 9:15 am. First group departs at 9:30 am; and
• Ride ends approximately 5:00 pm.

Route:

• Brief use of local area roads to get to the trail; therefore, drivers of ATV and SxS must have at least a G2 driver’s license.
• Speed limit on road in accordance with the Highway Traffic Act (20Km/hr in a 50 zone; 50Km/hr in a 60+ zone); and
• Trails will range from green (easy) to blue (intermediate)trail rating category.

• Check-in begins at 8:30 am , self-guided group(s) departs first, followed by “guided” group departing approximately 9:30 am
• Poker Hands will be available for purchase ($20/hand) as of 8:30 am; all proceeds will be split amongst the winning hands - 50% First prize, 30% Second prize, 20% Third prize
• All riders should be back at the start point approx 5:00 pm
• Last day to register is Friday, 25 Aug 23 at 1:00 pm.

An OFATV trail permit is required for this event. Purchase an annual or 1-day permit at the https://getapermit.ofatv.org and select RCATV as the club to support.
