Description
The Bayfield River Valley Trail Association maintains seven recreational trails in and around Bayfield, Ontario. We schedule over 20 guided hikes each year, giving residents of all ages and fitness levels the opportunity to enjoy the area’s natural beauty. We are an all-volunteer, registered non-profit organization, dedicated to supporting a healthy and environmentally conscious community.
Founded in 2006, the BRVTA selected sites, mapped, and built the 14 km of trails in collaboration with the Municipality of Bluewater and several very supportive private landowners. The trails are open to the public every day of the year, except for the Woodland Trail during certain hunting seasons. Our guided hikes often include educational themes and guest experts on topics such as Indigenous history, birds, flowers, mushrooms, and climate change. To join us for a hike on the trails, click on our Events Calendar for dates and locations. Our monthly electronic newsletter is free for the asking.
