Walk 1: InTO the Ravine- Herbs and Local History on July 22
This is a guided tour designed to identify the diverse wild weeds and plants found in the ravines and their culinary and medicinal uses. Participants will stroll through the ravine, discovering the local history of the park and importance of ravines in our communities as well as exploring the plants that grow there, including details on their use in herbal applications.

Walk 2: Family Ravine Walk on September 30
A fun and interactive walk for youth to learn about what’s growing in their local ravine and park. Participants will learn and look for plants and objects found in nature using an “explorer” kit along with a "passport" to check off items that they find throughout several learning stations of the walk.
Limited spaces available for each walk - please meet at 9:45 am at Curran Hall Park
Weather Check - the weather will be monitored 24 hours before the walks and we will follow Environment Canada's guidelines
Please note the trails may have uneven surfaces and we encourage closed toed shoes to avoid various hazards that might be on the trail and wear weather appropriate clothing -also remember to bring water.
Waiver
If you participate in a ravine walk with the Curran Hall Community Association (CHCA), you are agreeing to the following:
I am taking this tour voluntarily and am in good health.
I understand there are risks to walking in public trails.
I accept personal responsibility for anything that happens to me, like if I get hurt or lose something.
I release CHCA and anyone working for it, including contractors, from any claims or liability for damages.
If I agreed to it, CHCA can take photos and video during the walking tour and can use my image, likeness, recordings of me in any format for promotional uses.
Participants under the age of 16 must attend with a guardian.
