Parkhill Conservation Area Trail
Overview
Each season brings something new along the nature trails at Parkhill Conservation Area.
The 800 hectare conservation area is the result of efforts to control serious flooding and soil erosion problems downstream. The Parkhill Dam and reservoir were constructed in 1969 to create a storage area to regulate the water flow of Parkhill Creek.
The recreational opportunities include canoeing, windsurfing, fishing, hiking, snowmobiling and toboganning. Within the conservation area is a campground facility known as "Great Canadian Hideaway".
