Fourteen Mile Creek Trail

This trail is built on the east side of the creek to connect numerous access points to the valley.

The Glen Abbey Community is indeed fortunate in its setting. The area has been developed around the Taplow, Glen Oaks, McCraney and Fourteen Mile Creeks, as well as several high quality upland woodlots and active park areas. All of these have been incorporated into an open space network which has tried to leave the valley systems and woodlots in as natural a state as possible, yet still allow for modern necessities such as storm water management.

One of the special parkland features is a trail system which connects all the creeks, woodlots and active parks. The trail system will allow residents to walk, ride bikes or cross country ski throughout the community. At numerous locations, the trail system crosses roads so that caution must be exercised whenever approaching a road crossing.
