George G. Newton Nature Reserve

The George G. Newton Nature Reserve is a 40 hectare former farm property that is owned by the Federation of Ontario Naturalists.

The FON is dedicated to the use and preservation of lands for the examination and exploration of Ontario's bird species. Birding is one of the world's most popular outdoor recreational activity and is enjoyed by tens of thousands of Ontarians!

The nature trail winds through an old pine plantation and the remnants of the farm's orchards. A side trail takes you through a white cedar forest and along a stream valley where it stops at an old dam where a sawmill once stood.
