Listowel to Gowanstown Trail

The Town of North Perth (Listowel) offers trail users a unique combination of trails through the core area, agricultural land, parks, and former railway rights of way.

A newly expanded trail provides a pleasurable year round experience along the former railway rights of way from the Kinsmen Trail south and the expanded trail to Atwood, as well as the new trail to Gowanstown.

The North Perth Trails committee was formed in 1997 to connect the three wards of North Perth with a trail system. The trail is for the most part, the former railway lines and run approximately 22 km; from Gowanstown to Henfryn through Listowel and Atwood. The trail is used for walking, hiking, biking and cross-country skiing.

The trail is part of the Perth Country Trails system. A guide of the entire trail system is available at the Parks & Recreation office.
