Scarlet Tanager Trail

Short Hills Provincial Park

The Scarlet Tanager Trail, goes off to the left climbing a slope and giving a great view of the creek to the right and then follows the top of the ridge. Wandering through the woods along the edge of the escarpment brings you to a bench (006) where you can rest for a bit to admire the views of the valley below.

The path now leaves the woods and enters a field approaching the hydro transmission lines where hawks can be seen screeching and flying overhead. Directions: From the QEW exit at Regional Road 24 and head south through Vineland, until you come to Regional Road 69. Head east long 69 until you come to the paring lot. Look for the park sign that is set back from the road, there is ample parking here.
