Swan Lake Trail

Grundy Lake Provincial Park

This trail circles and crosses Swan Lake Nature Reserve. A boardwalk traverses a wetland alive with plants and animals and leads to an observation platform.

The trail continues over bald, glacier-scoured granite rock overlooking the lake. In blueberry season, take along a bucket. From several lakes in this park off the Trans-Canada Highway, you can paddle to the voyageurs' route along French and Pickerel rivers into Georgian Bay.

Beaches and smooth rocky shores provide excellent swimming. And mixed forest marks this area as the boundary between north and south. Hiking trails explore the forest.
