Peterborough, Hasting & Campbellford Trail

Peterborough, Hasting & Campbellford Trail - Master Head Image 1

Overview

Your journey will take you through picturesque towns and villages on an abandoned rail line (built in the early 1900s).  This trail affords views of the Otonabee, Indian and Trent Rivers.

You’ll have a chance to overnight at B&B’s or tent at a Provincial Park.   Pop into an eatery with views of the waterways.  You’ll pass by fields of cash crops, sheep and horses.

In Campbellford, experience going over a cattle guard where you’ll meet some rather curious jersey cows.    Wetlands afford views of frogs and marsh birds and gorgeous purple iris, so be sure to bring your camera.
