Coureurs de Bois Section of the Voyageur Trail


The Coureurs de Bois Section of the Voyageur Trail runs for 88 Km from Granary Lake, north through Eliot Lake, and then south to Spanish.

For fun, fitness, and friendship come and join us. Meet at 10:00 am in the Sears parking lot, unless otherwise noted.
Regular Tuesday (easy), Thursday (intermediate) and Saturday (easy) hikes.

For outings,  bring water, lunch, proper footwear and dress appropriately. Be prepared to sign an Assumption of Risk Agreement. Make sure your fitness level corresponds to the outing level in which you wish to participate

The trail is now part of the Voyageur Hiking Trail, which is an association of trails between Thunder Bay and Sudbury, including areas in Pukaskwa National Park and Lake Superior Provincial Park.  All of these trails have been designated Trans Canada Trail.  A guide to the Coureurs de Bois Section (with maps) can be found in the Voyageur Hiking Trail Guidebook (2014 edition), which can be obtained from the Voyageur Hiking Trail Association.
