Mud Creek Trail travels the length of three municipal parks at the heart of Chatham-Kent. This 3.15km asphalt trail offers a peaceful escape from city life and is suitable for walking, running, and cycling.
The creek is home to an impressive number of geese and ducks, while herons nest in the nearby trees. The trail itself is lined with native Carolinian trees planted by local students, and passes by a tall prairie grass demonstration garden.
Families can enjoy a fun day out by taking advantage of the playground equipment and picnic shelter in Mud Creek Park.
Directions: The trail is accessible from a number of streets in Chatham, with parking available at the Mud Creek Park entrance on Tweedsmuir Ave W.
